240 Wagon Fuel Filter
Question: Is it as much of a faff as internet searches suggest to clean or replace the fuel filter in a 1991 240 Wagon?

Yes! It can be a bit of a pain. But it may not be worth doing unless you know it needs doing -- e.g., there's been rust in the fuel tank. There are two filters: one is a spin-on near the main fuel pump. The other is a nylon sock in the fuel tank, attached to the pre-pump.

The pump was playing up, so it was replaced yesterday.
The filter was changed at the same time. It appeared to be original. What? Only 30 years and 200,000 miles? Should I complain to Volvo?
