Default estate springs on a saloon

So, Ive had a crazy idea but want to know if its stupid.

Can you get away with estate springs on a saloon?

More specifically, can fit the Kilen 40mm lowering springs off my estate onto a saloon or will it ride like a 70's American Gasser?

Just wondering about differences between poundage and weight of saloons versus estates

Yes you can fit estate springs, they are a little stiffer and will lift the rear around 5-10mm so the 40mm lowering springs will only lower around 30-35mm on the back
