Default Is there a list of possible messages?

My XC70 (2014 plate, 2015 model) never fails to surprise me with the messages it can display. I am used to the 'time to book routine service' (or similar) notice but have recently seen 'Routine maintenance overdue' flash up (car was booked in for the next day).
Then, when I collected the car from the garage (Marshal Volvo Cambridge) the service manager brought it to me, got out and handed me the key, all nicely sanitised, while the engine was left running. On getting in the car there was the message 'key removed from car' (or similar). Now I never knew you could remove the key while the engine was running and also knew nothing of such a message. I admit I did not know quite what to do... replace key, switch engine off and start again or what. In the end I just put key in slot and came home with the message still there.
But to the point: Is there a definitive list of messages that can be displayed? I am sure I have never seen such a list published anywhere ... the Manual does not contain a list.

Cheers, Phil
