Any chance of a meet a bit further up north?

Hi, the last meet was in Stoke on Trent - that was a 340 ish round trip for me - I've driven between 900 and a 1000 miles to go to the three VU meets that have all been north of Birmingham - this is the first proposed "southern meet" - still north for me lol! (quite ironic really as I'm a Scot!) There was a Cheshire meet arranged a couple of weekends ago, that was closer to you: http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=23974
The initial idea of VU was to have meets around the country that were not affiliated to any one particular forum - why don't you suggest and organise a meet near the borders in the future to cater for people in your area! Anyway, hope to meet you at one of our gatherings in the future!

I thought the section meets are for VOC members only? I haven't joined as yet, whereas I believe VU meets are open to all.

Will try to get to a VU meet in the new year, if funds permit, and a Cheshire meet if it's allowed.

Would more likely join if a NW section was active, and Seany was trying to drum up support for one previously.

PS The Strathclyde park mini meet would probably be nearer for me as its 540 mile round trip. lol

That's further than the Oxford meet. lol

Maybe in the New Year. It's almost as far as I went to pick the car up.
