Default S40 T5 ECU Remap

Hi,

I'm new to the forum but looking forward to having some good chats and debates with other users.

I've got an 05 plate S40 T5 (geartronic) and I'm thinking of getting it remapped. Just wondering if anyone had any experience of this and the pros and cons - more fun/less tyre wear I expect!

Look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Thanks,

Richard

Default MTE remap.

I can offer you an MTE remap for £435 including VAT. That will give you enhanced outputs of 260bhp with 420nm of torque.

You install this software yourself with the aid of MTE's unique Softloader Device that acts as an interface between your car's OBD port and an XP or windows 7 equipped laptop.

I loan that Softloader device against a returnable deposit of £155. If you do decide to buy it outright it does enable you to swap between MTE and standard Volvo software as you wish. With the outright purchase of the Softloader you can also buy MTE's data logging and diagnostics software.

Please call me on 01494 785508 if I can help further.

Best regards, Don.

Hey Mate,

Got a stage 3 S40 T5 here....

Go for an MTE map, you can get it customised later on, and will be kinder to your autobox - wish I'd gone MTE to begin with!

You will need decent tyres... 225 Conti Contact sport 3's are very good

MTE also leaves the door open to custom mapping and/or hybrid turbos if you so wish.

Other upgrades (in order of awesomeness)

Strut Brace
IPD Rear Roll Bar
Braided Brake Lines
Eibach Springs + B8 Dampers
Lightweight 17" wheels (better driving dynamics)
Forge BOV
K&N Air Intake

Don't know about the ones you mentioned.

Make sure you can get your Map custom modified later in case you want to do more modding.

MTE or BSR are good, you can do it DIY With a softloader.

Tired MAF and Fuel Pressure sensor are common issues on these cars, which will affect power.

Also... put some injector cleaner through the tank that will help too!

You can check my previous post in this thread concerning the Swedish written MTE software that I can offer for these cars.

In addition to this MTE software you will find some other supporting physical components such as exhausts systems, suspension and braking components, etc. on my website www.kalmar-union.com

Regards, Don.

I've got the BSR exhaust which is the same as the Jetex.

Got the middlebox welded out, it's LOUD! but awesome.

Note... you need the bodykit for that exhaust otherwise it looks daft.

You running the sport bodykit?
