Bah. I can't edit my posts!

Another question: Apparently it has just has it's 108,000 mile service, but the oil is black (I suspect that is due to it being a diesel!) and half way up the stick.

Now this makes me wonder if it hasn't actually been changed?

Also, how would I find out if my front bushes are 12 or 14mm? I'd like to order the parts!

Fair enough.

Edit: Down to this DPF thing I guess?

Is it possible to get a bluetooth module for audio for my iPhone? I'd like to be able to plug my iPhone in and skip songs using the steering wheel!

Take great care when removing the centre console. It's a bugger getting it past the handbrake lever and i gouged the leather on mine. Wiser after the event, i would do things differently in future and wrap the lever, gearstick and front seat lumbar knobs with clingfilm or something before removing.

If you damage the leather on the handbrake, it cannot be ordered as a separate part, you will need to replace the entire handbrake assembly!

PS re that ugly handsfree kit: i obtained a very discreet mounting kit from Halfords for my i-pod. It consists of a thin adhesive disc which i mounted at the back of the waterall, and then a flexible stalk and adjustable bracket to hold the ipod. You then fit this to the disc with a suction pad. The mounting position is similar to where yours is, but when you detach the suction mount nothing is visible unless you crouch down and peer behind the waterfall to see the mounting disc. This would accomodate most mobile phones too.

Been to Volvo today, they did a check over of the car and they say the bushes and front dampers are fine :S.

Needs two new tyres + tracking + rear shocks doing tho, might get them to do the rear bushes while they are at it anyway.

Ok, removed the kit, but there is still bits left behind the console.

I think it is the cause of the buzzing on the aux input.

How do I go about removing the final bits? The blue box is part of it in pic 2 is it not?

The blue wire goes off to the 12V socket, I'm in two minds whether to remove it or not (cut it off at the source), or leave it, as it is in an insulated connector at the other end.

I've also removed the fuses from the black things you can see in pic 1.

Thoughts? How do I remove the rest?

I've now got some buzzing from the centre console area from where the added electronics are for the handsfree kit.

Does anyone know what the standard wiring is like?

What do I need to remove as the remaining wires go into a blue box, which I assume isn't standard!?

Cheers!

Did you have buzzing from the aux input when something was connected to it? I have not had any non-OEM parts fitted to my audio system but i have a buzzing on the aux input when nothing's connected to it, which i assume is standard. As soon as the i-pod is connected up to the socket in the console the buzzing ceases.

All the time

It gets quieter when something is plugged into it tho.

Note: There is the buzzing from the speakers and from behind the centre console!
