Default Wrong oil...

So, I changed oil on my 2007 V50 1.6d just the other day, unfortunatly some evil creature had moved a bottle of oil from the top shelf to the middle one, and somehow willed me into buying it and not looking at the can before today when I finally got around to tidying.

So now instead of a nice smooth M2C913-C oil I've got a gooey substance only matching VW 504.00 and 507. (And ACEA A3/B4, ACEA C3 (Low SAPS/low ash), but that's hardly worth mentioning).

So my question is, do I need to:
1: park my car and disasemble and clean all parts of the engine to stop the engine exploding.
2: change oil and filter asap
or
3: keep using this oil do until my next change in about a year

Any words of wisdom is greatly apreasiated.

Nothing to worry about really. Personally I would leave it in for 1000kms and then do an oil and filter change.
Consider it an engine flush, your engine/turbo will thank you for it. ;-)

i tell you the truth the level of quality in VW504.00 and 507.00 it is a lot higher than the ford standard.

i tell you the truth i would change the oil as soon as possible as the 504 is for petrol engine therefore it might not clean enough the engine.

if you had a diesel oil in a petrol car wanting you could have left it for 1000 miles as it would do the same that flush the engine (not really ideal way, but it works).
