phone kit c70
Hi all, I recently bought myself a 56 plate c70 se lux d5 with all the upgrades including the phone kit with the steering wheel controls and sim card slot in the glove box. I tried getting a duplicate sim card to keep in the glove box slot as its a pain to keep dismantling my phone but its not possible from my mobile provider. Is there any other way around this as its a good extra to have? Thanks

Only real option is to put a payg sim in it and then divert calls to it, not ideal though as you pay the diverted call charges and any outgoing calls come from the payg sim . Modern Sims have security features that prevent them being cloned so not really a lot you can do unfortunately.

I had this exact problem with my S40 T5, my provider laughed when I asked for a duplicate sim card, said I could add another sim to my contract, asked if it would use the same minutes & text etc, told nope essentially I'd have to pay £5 a month to get a pay as you go sim. In the end I just went to talk mobile for a pay as you go sim, they piggy back vodafones network so reception always good but a lot cheaper rates, and no monthly top up required, I just have to use the phone once every 90 days or I lose the credit. I decided I couldn't be arsed swapping sims about all the time, & I would only really wanted it for emergancies as I normally carry my personal mobile and a work mobile, unfortunately there's no way round it. Although I'm sure I remember you used to be able to get duplicate sims.....
