v70 Seat swap wiring (04 to 06)
Hi all,
I'm a long time lurker, but this is my first post. I have an 04 V70, which seems to cross the period of the facelift models. It has a rather crusty half leather interior, so I took the chance to buy a full leather interior from an 06 V70. The wiring to the front seat clearly has different connectors, and looks like it conforms to different colour codes. I've searched the forum, and whilst there seem to be lots of posts that mention a change in wiring, I haven't seen any that offer a cross-reference, or solution. Has anyone done this? |

The easiest solution is to fit an interior from your style of V70.
Good examples aren't especially rare.

I've already got the new interior, and fitted the rear seats, so I'd like to persist if possible. I'm surprised after having gone through 20 pages of search results here, that it hasn't been solved yet. (Maybe I'll have to be the first?) |

Aren't the 4 mounting bolt holes different too? I'm sure I've read that somewhere so wiring complications aside, have you trial fitted the seat at all?

Did you manage to sort this? I'm in the same situation with my 2002 v70. I've bought seats from an early 2005 car which I was told would be a straight fit but the electrical connector is different, the floor mounts also look different too, although they may still fit. I'm hoping to make a small loom to adapt the later seats.

be careful that you dont trigger the seat belt tensioners when adapting the wireing get diagrams for both car models/ years and study them carefully to avoid problems .
