We'll be doing the oil change (flush) at the weekend, and if that works we'll do the inner track rod end.
Flush procedure looks pretty straight forward so we are geared up with containers, clear hose (to extend return line from cooler) and 12ltrs of JWS3309

Wish me luck!

Well, 12ltrs later and the fluid is now the correct colour! i.e. pink.. not black!

A test drive of about 10miles and it seemed ok but a longer drive will tell as the oil only got up to about 55-60degrees (got to love VIDA!).

If anyone if thinking of doing this, it is one of the simplest things I've done, and very rewarding! it's time consuming though, it took us three hours.
One thing you should also do is reset the oil counter via Vida... that has also been done

Next job.... inner tie rod... then we are at a good place I think.

Well done, glad to hear it seems to have worked!

Where do you reset the oil counter in Vida?

In VIDA, in the section where it shows you how to remove or replace stuff it guides you through the oil change procedure, at the end it provides a button to reset the counter.

I think you can also get to this via live activations for the TCM, sorry I can't remember what its call off the top of my head.

Another tip - you might want to think about doing some sump dumps on it now you have done the flush, these are quicker to do but only replace about half the oil.

The reason being is that the new oil go black again quite quickly if its done 180k miles (the new oil will be washing all the burnt crud off which will cause issues).

Once it's been driven a few miles check the oil and you'll see
