I've just come from a 230+bhp Nissan 200sx to a 163bhp S60 D5 and I can honestly say that while I miss the 200sx I am really enjoying the benefits of the diesel. 5th gear pulls roughly the same in both cars so motorway driving is all good, but on a long journey I won't have to worry about the ever decreasing fuel gauge!

Sure the diesel engine isn't as brutal and I can't rev it up to 7,000rpm any more, but I don't have to, the power is instant in the D5 Once I've saved up for a RICA upgrade I'll be a truly happy man! I do really miss RWD though...

I got very lucky with my D5, it's a '04 plate with 108k on the clock and an immaculate service history + it's fully loaded with loads of toys Feels like new too - the best part is I paid less that £7,000 for it!
