"Service" light on dashboard panel
Good morning
I serviced my V40 some months ago, and a few weeks after i'd done it an orange light lit up on the dashboard panel saying "service". This may have been triggered by time - 12 months since last reset or something. I've tried to follow the instructions within the haynes manual for resetting this and had no success. The car is a 2004 registered 2.0 SE which is a kind of 'end of line' model. Does anyone know of any other way to reset this light than the method stated in the haynes book? The car is due for MOT soon and I don't want the garage instructing me that it needs to be serviced. Many thanks |

Not sure if it's the same as a phase 2 1.9D, but this is the procedure I use:
1/ Turn key to position 1 only. 2/ Push in OD button for 30 secs until the warning flashes. 3/ Release button. |
