Okay,

I'm still in to minds as to what to do with it. If it would only take a day to swap an engine over then i might as well. But it would only be so I could then sell it running!

Trouble is I've currently got no means to lift the engine out! It would be a while before I'd be able to do it, and because of the age of engine and uncertainty of its history (very little history), i'd want to check any warpage or damage on the inside - I couldn't guarantee that the engine is in top condition - but it worked find for the 40 miles or so I drove it home.

No worries - realistically it'll be late feb/march before I do anything serious to it (I'll be spending Jan getting off what I've already sold/promised to people, and holiday in Feb)...

The top cover is off, the cylinder head is nearly off (just need to remove turbo/exhaust manifold, bolts are slack), lower half is still in tight.

Hi Paffel,
I'm looking for tailgate trim for my V70 in grey with black plastic surround if you still have it? Mine has been taken off at some point and all the clips broken and the previous owner has gone crazy with sycaflex!
