Default V40CD 1.8i Auto NON STARTER

Firstly, Hi,

Hope someone can help me out, Recently purcased the above vehicle with a head gasket problem, but still running. Moved car to put at rear of house for repair but stupidly started playing with controls before driving through rear gate. I was trying cruise control settings when engine cut out at the same time I pressed the set button. (Don't know if this was a coincidence or not). Now will not start just turns over.
Any Ideas would b appreciated, Thanks Paul.

Sorry in wrong place and could not delete

take the spark plugs out and let the engine dry out internally and then try again
