ok... it's over a week until the date of the Meet... and it looks like it's going to be a very full car park for such a small pub, we can't assume we'll be the only people there...

I have a suggestion.... rather than risk other members of the public 'splitting' us up in the small pub car park, there is a Retail park in Thorpe arch 2.5 miles east of Wetherby. Thorpe Arch retail Park is 3 miles off the A1M Junc 45... it has a HUGE car park (and shops if anyone brings the ' other half ' )... free parking all day with places to get a bite to eat & drink etc... also, there is an Industrial Park with plenty of empty units which will have empty car parks galore... → http://www.thorparchestate.co.uk/retail-park.html & http://www.thorparchestate.co.uk/commercial-estate.html ... oh, did I see indoor karting on there...

I really don't want to 'take over' because I've owned Volvos for 22 years and NEVER been to a Meet (yes, I'm a virgin too...lol).... but Thorpe Arch looks like it could be an ideal place for a Meet and have all the Volvos parked together (and maybe regular Meet up location too)

So jaygee (& everyone else).. what do you think..?

p.s. Simon04, I see you're Chezzy too, fancy a Spirite mini convoy..?

Numbers are certainly increasing, which may limit us at the half moon pub. (30 spaces there + 10 across the road).

I think the idea was to meet up with like minded people and grab a drink and some food. I know the thorpe arch estate quite well and there is one cafe there and as you say has plenty of shops. I think the suggestion is a good one as there is plenty of car parking space.

Thanks for the input terrywilde, I think it is a good suggestion. I would be happy to move it here. It is just off the A1/M1 about the same distance from Wetherby as Collingham is.

If we say - The Cafe and Bistro @ Thorpe Arch, Wetherby. Same time 1pm.

If there is any interest in going go-karting then I can book something for 2pm and we can maybe have a few of us race it out on the track!
