Default Whats it worth?

Hi All. Newbie here.
I have owned three Volvo's in the past. A new (1989!)745. A 760 saloon and then a 93 945. All good reliable cars. But I don't have one currently.

An old friend of my wife has owned their 945 classic from 6 months old. It was driven from Bath to see their family in Scotland last year. I gather it has been a reliable work horse (anyone surprised?). I have been looking at it because it broke down a week or so ago and was recovered home. The AA guy thinks it is the fuel pump relay, which I am going to replace for her when I work out how to remove the fuse/relay tray from the console!

Once its running, she has asked me to hep her sell it as she is in her 80's and her husband has recently gone into a home - he's 91 apparently!! It has 186k on the clock. P reg, so 95/96 I think. Is it worth anything? Is there likely to be anyone wanting one?

Yes, there is always someone who would rather save one than see it scrapped. 700 series cars becoming scarce now...Get some pics up!

Default 945 with MOT

If fuel relay and its running its worth £400 to £800 depending on condition.

It's a 940, not a 740

Yes. Specifically a September 1996, Grey estate, 2.3 lp turbo classic (according to dvla), with mot until July and 186k miles. In use until a couple of weeks ago, when it was recovered to her home by the AA. I have been inside it yesterday to pull out the old relay and would describe it as a little bit tired looking inside but looks straight outside.

A late version I guess. If I recall they bought it because the 940 was out of, or soon to be out of production and they wanted a car as good as their old 240 or 740.

Relay on order, so I will know in a few days! I am sure she will ask me to advertise it somewhere for her once running, as she is now 80 ish and has her runaround Polo to get around in. Hence the question of what is it sensibly worth.
