Question Wanted Early Estate

Hi,
new to this forum malarkey, but would very much like an early Volvo estate 145 or similar. I have had a few 240's in the past but want an earlier model. Any suggestions? I am not necessarily after Tax exempt but just like the earlier models. Any ideas suggestions, ideas, guidance?
You'll have to excuse my ignorance re model numbers etc!
Overdrive would be nice too!
Thanks Joe

145's upto end of 1972 are tax exempt. Very late 72's did get the newer dash that is similar to the early 240.

What early features are you looking for? Strip speedo, long gear lever, opening rear windows, non head rest seats???

Good 145's are few and far between but they do crop up.

Hi Classicswede,
thanks for replying! I am a newcomer to Volvo's of this era so not entirely sure, i guess its more the aesthetic features of the car i like so year unimportant really. It will be an every day driver so advice is much appreciated. I would at a push consider a saloon and get a towbar fitted. I have quite a few questions, for instance did any come with overdrive or would i need to go for a 164 (also would quite like) for that?
Thanks Joe
