Doesn't like left turns
I have an 81 240DL that stalls when making a left turn or when leaning down on the right. If I level out it starts up again, but any little momentum to the right and it stalls. Insight anyone?

Possibly the fuel level in carb is too low - check and adjust float if necessary.

That was the assumption I made all 240 DLs were carb.

Not this one. It's a 4 cyl port injected 240DL. Anyway, it used to be that it would stall on left turns. Now it will not start at all on level ground. Would there be any issue with the throttle that would make the engine cut off, if it leans to the right? I now have to jack up the right side of the car, in order to get it started.

A silly long-shot, but could there be a poor wiring connection somewhere, something frayed, that shorts when the car tilts?
Does the level of fuel in the tank make any difference? |

I checked for loose wiring and secured anything I saw that was loose, and the car ran best when the tank was almost empty. I am completely boggled!

the fuel pick up is on the left side of the tank, i'd start looking at that and make sure the hoses aren't bad. |
