repaired cambelt
I am thinking of buying a j reg 240 estate.the cambelt has snapped but been replaced and had new valves.the sellers father has carried out the job.
can a snapped cambelt cause major damage to the engine other than needing new valves. this will be my first volvo and i dont want to get it wrong. thanks |

The damage caused by cambelt failure will have in all probability been just a bent valve. It is most unlikely any serious damage would have occurred.
