Default Extended wheel studs

Hello all, does anyone know where I can pick up any extended wheel studs, also how difficult they are to fit and how much I am likely to have to pay for them

Extended studs are a bit of a problem. You best bet is getting some made. I belive there are some us studs that can be machined a little to make them fit. I do some spacers with stud extenders but they are 30mm which could be a bit much. dare say you could shorten them.

Easy dude

i have bin down both roads with this exstended studs an Classic swedes spacer kit.

You can get the studs from a ford specalist called speed shack they are morelo studs that they import from the states. Be carful though because the size you need is not the size they keep in stock i can give you sizes if you decide to take this route. They cost me £35 for ten as I asume you know you only have to change the front studs. If you go down this road you can buy mine for £30ovno as I never used them. this route requires you to drill out your drums using a pillar drill, as the stud heads on the morelo studs are bigger than the volvo ones so they will not press in with out drilling. you will still need to buy some spacer plates i am pretty shure the one's I got came from Euro parts. The guys from speed shack are very helpful.

The secound route is classic swedes spacer kit, this is the route I choose in the end it is probably the cheeper of the two but equally comes with complications. I found I had to machine the spacers to clear my brake calipers i have the gurling callipers if you have the other sought you may not need to. secoundly like classic swede says they do poke out abit as the spacers are pretty chunky (30mmI think?) they are just about consealed by the wheel arch. If the front of your car is lowered you may not exsperience what I have written next. I have another car with exstended studs which has the same situation the wheels poke out this genrally means you get what ever you drive through fired up your door. Having said that I have not run my volvo properly since I have done this mod so don't know this will happen for shure. After seriously considering both routes an talking to some guys that have done similar things with american cars i went for the spacer kit because it was the least hastle in the long run. Not to mention you will get the full suport of classic swede an all his knowledge. But which ever you go for you will have to make some mods to your car or the product. hope this is useful drop me a message if you want more imfo. best wishs steve
