Default 1998 V70 T5 early pre electronic throttle - Superchips?

Hi all,

Fancy building a bit of a sleeper. I understand this is an older ECU which is not flash programmable and has a physical chip change (like my old RS Turbos!).

Superchips list my cars upgrade as 270PS and 395Nm. I would prefer to use someone specialised in Volvo but I having contacted BSR, I'm not sending my ECU to Sweden for a chip install.

Superchips offer a mobile service aswell, although the thought of someone opening up an ECU in situ is a bit worrying (I assume the vans they use are well equipped for this type of operation).

Anyone used Superchips for their T5? They have been around a very long time.

Thanks.

There used to be a good choice of reputable tuners for these cars, but sadly that has reduced considerably - presumably because the demand has also decreased with the falling number of these cars left on the road.

I haven't used Superchips so can't give an opinion on them, however Tim Williams and Shem are the current go-to people for tuning. They are both on facebook these days -

Can't find any contact details for Tim, but he is highly regarded.

I'll probably be going to Shem next year
