Australia were lucky enough to get the 242GT in RHD....just check the price of them though I wanted to import one but after looking at shipping, import tax and registering it I decided it was too much.

Yeah it's bloody annoying that they were actually making RHD 242s and just decided there was no market for them in the UK.

Most asking prices for 242GTs are quite steep, but this one has been on ebay.com.au for a long time, and is thus probably overpriced:
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/VOLVO-242...#ht_500wt_1204 Lots of rust-free 240s here: I haven't found any rust at all on my 1990 240GL that I bought 8 months ago when I moved from the UK to the Queensland/NSW border. I don't know how much the export--import process costs, but shipping costs between Brisbane and the UK were about £1500 when I looked into it. The main problem is the £ to AU dollar exchange rate -- which makes Australia really expensive for Brits.
