Default 2002 t5 another boost problem

Hi i'd writen another thread and got no answers so i'll update and hope for the best.
i've owned the car about 6 weeks it would bog down at wot to the point it felt like you were hitting a wall and it came up with a bcs error so brought a new one things were fine for a couple hours and started doing a very similar thing just not quite as harsh, so i fitted a boost gauge it wouldn't hold boost i was only getting 5psi and it would drop straight off, so i pulled the yellow pipe going to the wastegate and it would pick up to 15psi and again would drop straight off to 0psi.
I have replaced the 3 pipes coming from the bcs with silicone hoses and it is now holding boost but will not boost past 6-7psi at best if it ease the throttle in, if i give it the boot it bogs down and is all noise and no boost.
any idea's i'm a noob to t5 so please be gentle.

You need to get the codes read, there may be someone local with the proper gear.

Sounds like you have a massive air leak. Check all hoses to and from the turbo and intercooler.

Thanks Andy got the codes read before it came up with all sorts so they were all deleted and i took it back 10 days later to see what had come back and apart from steering not being centered and some other things unrelated to this it was just the bcs error that came up. I will get it in again and see what happens, just out of curiosity i have a hissing from my brake peddle which i believe to be the servo, maybe a stupid question but could this have an influence on an air leak?

i have had similar issues with the no boost and was chasing the cause for sometime without success, it did turn out to be a collapsed cat blocking the flow through the exhaust pipe, unfortunatly it never shown any codes but would drive ok just had no turbo boost. when it took the downpipe off it was evident due to the internals falling out lol, fitted a Ferrita downpipe(already had the cat back)and the car took off like a rocket, the overboost was stupid and it took a fair few miles to re-learn.

Nice I've just had the cat back done and was thinking of a de cat pipe but wanted to sport this issue out first as it's going back to have the back box taken out I'll ask him to take a look at the cat while it's there
