Default Front end knock on V70.

Wifes V70 developed a knock on front end when going over potholes etc. Luckily Ive seen this on other cars but its difficult to diagnose. The problem was the anti roll bar link rod. Looks like two small track rod ends. Diagnosis is difficult and unlikely to be picked up easily at a MOT as the rod tends to tension when the car is jacked. Diagnosis is by undoing one end (not easy as he bolt and nut turn due to no splines) The play which was not evident on any other inspection was VERY evident when loose. £10 each side from GSF. Begs the question however why these go so easily on a car with only 50K on the clock.
