having pulled an actuator apart in the past i would be very suprised if the actuator itself was sticking as there is very little to stick..... also the springs themselves are hardly small.....

the wastegate rod that runs thru the exhaust housing maybe sticking & not closing properly all the time but again i would be suprised if that was the case.....

an mbc at that kind of pressure doesnt really prove anything except the turbo is capable of producing 13psi....

i would concentrate on investigating the recuirc valve if you havent done already..... lost boost that way is more or less undetectable & unhearable.....

i have a wastegate actuator that belongs to dooby, maybe worth asking him if you can give it a go on your car

My boost problem seems to be random, yesterday the car was fine, this morning hardly any yet this afternoon its going like a rocket. Doesn't seem like a leak as it holds boost ok when it wants to so.......

Cracking me up at the moment TBH

I'd forgotten about that :-) Fancy dropping it off sometime, or I can pick it up if we're both at a meet? I seem to remember you said it was quite weak, no stronger than the one on your car but I might like to have it as a pattern for an after-market one or something... No rush obviously, since it's taken me this long to remember it's away!

Cheers, Pete
