I replaced my spline (xc90 2005) 3.5yrs ago - and 25k miles later it’s gone again. Maybe my gear had damage the first time - will have to go through it again!!!

is the upgraded collar only compatible with 2006 onwards? i read it had 47teeth so presumably that required a bevel gear that also have 47 teeth?

Lukas at Volvo Diagnostic in Tilbury was able to confirm that my DEM was the issue. My CEM has pretty much died and I'm getting a local specialist (Volvo Specialist Car Sales in Brighouse) to look at it so I have an opportunity to get the DEM repaired at the same time.
