Hi there you Volvo people,Please could you help me,I am just about to purchase a Volvo P1800 and I need to Know how much your average Classic car insurance costs.I understand that because its a classic car over a certain age it would be pretty low compared to an average modern day car. Please could any one suggest a company for this and some low quotes that you might of had.Yours Volvoingly,Jimmy.

RE: CHEAP CLASSIC CAR INSURANCE
Not necessarily cheaper. My 1953 PV444 costs just under £100 for 3000 miles a year compared to my T5 at £245. The premium depends where you live, but Chris Knott Insurance got me the cheapest for the 444.

RE: CHEAP CLASSIC CAR INSURANCE
At the other end of the spectrum I am a little higher risk, living in Central London, am 27 and drive around 10,000 miles a year in my 123GT. I found Footman James very reasonable and pay around £170 fully comprehensive parked on the street, unlimited mileage - half what I paid for a 1988 340 previously.

Footman James also do a lot for classic Triumph owners. However, if you want more than Social, Dometic and Pleasure cover they are expensive! I know many people in the TSSC happy with their service though.
