Default 2010 V50 power loss

Hi,

I have a 2010 Volvo V50 1.6 diesel DriveE. When I am accelerating it feels like every so often I am lifting my foot off the accelerator & straight away putting it back down again. This happens mainly between 1200 & 1800rpm & I noticed it in all gears. It is gradually getting worse & is starting to annoy me more & more. It seems to mainly happen when I am accelerating easy. I do not notice it happening when accelerating hard.
I only had the car serviced 2 months ago so I would expect that the fuel filter is still good.

Has anyone come across this before or have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance. Graham.
