My 2004 S60 D5 Manual is making it's final journey to the breakers this week.
325,275miles. I bought it in 2006 with 29k. Always used the cheapest supermarket diesel I could find. I've replaced one injector, one intercooler, one front and one rear caliper, one abs ring and a battery. Still has original clutch and exhaust. Drives like new and has just dragged my caravan on a 700 mile round trip. Sadly won't pass an mot due to an airbag fault.

eBay it. Some one will think it worth fixing. Doesn't sound too big a job, if that's all that's wrong.

Default '55 P2 facelift V70 D5 185bhp

201,000 miles amd runs beautifully. Had to replace the hydraulic lifters when I bought it at 197,000 as the old ones were totally shot. Common problem on high mile Euro4's. The previous owner gave me copies of invoices for every penny that's been spent on it. The lifters and a Vac pump are the only major items to fail. The rest has been general service items such as discs, pads, exhaust, tyres etc.

S60 D5 2002 (traded in in 2012) had 188,000 mi. Lots of dents and scratches, mechanically fine. New clutch at 145,000 mi. MY'12 XC70 D5 AWD man (traded in last week) 49,000. I know of one XC70 D5 AWD 2002 that has done 540,000 miles.

I had a 04 s40 (old shape) and sold it with 153k on it but it was still going strong. The newer ones won't do these sort of miles given the two I have had (06 and 09) and had loads of trouble with them. From wheel bearings to turbo failure
