Default Which Exhaust?

Me again sorry..... Ill start a new thread in case the question isn't seen in my first post.

Looking on line for a mid section and back box but mine's never listed.

Definitely 2001 V40 T4: B4204T5, 1855cc. I've read somewhere on a forum this is the Phase 1? I presume its classed as a 1.9?

Scuse my ignorance, are the exhaust systems the same throughout the V40 series of 2001 or are the T4s a bigger bore etc? Would a 2ltr fit?

Sorry to go on but if I don't ask......

Confuses the hell outta me AMP when I look for exhaust parts for a 1.8! Like you I can't believe there are that many variations on one vehicle!

Firebolt, I'm not questioning your reply, it's just that after the initial confusion with the Volvo specialist and the codes etc. I called Volvo UK for their records on the car at the time of manufacture. They gave me an exact match to the details I have.

V40 S T4
Engine Code: B4204T5
Engine No: B4202413747
1855cc

Could they have made an error in the details when first registered? I've no idea but will get searching for a 2ltr system.

Thanks, Andy

The 1.9T4 became the 2.0T4 for all factory builds from August 2000.

The 2.0T4 engine code is B4204T5 and has VVT

The 1.9T4 had 2 variants, the B4914T (1997-1999 model year) and the B4194T2 (1999-2000 model year).
