Question Ametech Engine Restorer

Has anybody had any experience of the above product just out of curiosity as Ive seen the advert in Car Mechanics magazine along with a quote from Quentin Wilson,Ive also looked at the website which as you would expect is full of letters endorsing the product. Its just that Ive heard a few negatives about Slick 50 which years ago also received lots of positive feed back, I would be interested to hear of personal experience of this product.

i have not tried it do not want to try it, any thing that seals holes however small in my book is a con, slick 50 was the same and did damage to engines. thats my opinion off course.

I've just googled Ametech Engine Restorer and surprise surprise not one good review other than the review from the makers/sales people. Worth a google if you've got five minutes, some of the answers and comments on other car forums are quite amusing.

im afraid these magic potions are aimed at the gullible, theres only one way of restoring any engine thats that is worn out, and thats replace the worn parts ,end of story

Default Ametech oil does work and doesn't cost an arm and a leg

i have to say the Ametech people were more than helpful with my smoky turbo petrol 740 and i can confirm it has now passed 4 MOTS emmissions tests since they treated it with their Engine Restorer oil. berg

Talking

from reading.the threads on here about engine addatives, and being an engineer ( mechanical).i would whole heartly agree with outnumbered and others ,i would not touch the stuff.the only way i have found to restore a warn engine is to strip it and replace the worn parts,i have yet to be proven wrong, but am always willing to learn,
