seen this done to P2s but never to an 850. on the S60s you need to redrill the knuckle to receive the mounting bolts (12mm to 14mm).

Or search for DVS Australia.

They make adapters to take the 320mm setup from a Focus ST.

XC90 stuff won't fit a P80 car without massive amounts of work

I fitted the DVS adapters with the V50 brake calipers and 16.5" discs on a V70 R. Fitted perfectly very nice brakes.

Just looked on their website and those adaptors are not expensive, don't know what the shipping is like from Oz though? Added to my to do list though!

Question

ive read on a few posts that these dont follow the radius of the disc correctly and the worn pad overhangs the OD as they share one of the 2 existing bolt holes. id like to be wrong but ive read it a few times now

Maybe Scutyde photos would show any issues

Yes this is correct the pad does not sit 100% perfect due to the adapter. However it's only minimaly off the disc so there is no real issue there. The system is still a 1 piston setup so mainly only a bigger caliper with the same working principle. However due to the bigger and thicker brake disc there a fewer issues from hard braking from high speed (we live in Germany )
and also due to the fact that the caliper is farther away from the center the leverage improves which makes the braking overall better. The brake hoses also were replaced along with brake fluid.
