Default Engine service urgent - fault codes?

Hi,

I've got an 05 V70 D5 engine and it's started throwing up a red triangle and limp-home mode with engine service urgent message. This seems to happen in cold weather as it did it once or twice back in the spring and was fine until the last week or so but it's quite frequent now.
I've tried checking fluid levels recently and nothing to spot there but I'm not sure what it is that's going wrong. Does anyone in the Northampton or Milton Keynes area have a fault code reader that I could borrow to identify what could be wrong? I should be able to bring the car to you if that helps...
I've ready about a possible fuel filter issue so can try that but the warning came up a lot during the last journey so it's getting worse and will need to be fixed.
Any help or advice would be welcome as I'm not sure what is wrong and would like to avoid a stealership bill if possible.

Thanks,

Wingers

It could be fault code ecm 6805 boost pressure faulty flow. The is the code from Vida. This is what the car needs to be plugged into to determine what the fault code is. I'm fairly close to Milton Keynes and I can do this for you.

Thanks for the info.

I managed to borrow a Delphi OBDII decoder at work and reset the fault codes (including 6805) before a drive after which I got two low fuel pressure codes again.
2503 and 2501 I think they were.
I also turned on the live graph mode and went for a short drive to check that the boost pressure was ok as it looked quite close to ambient so I wondered about a boost leak but this looked fine and no further faults codes so I think that's ok.
When driving I switched to the fuel pressure trace and could see it dropping out whenever the power loss happened, to the point that the car even stalled and needed restarting a couple of times.

Long story short but I think this is another case of a fuel filter blockage unless anyone has any other ideas...

Next stop is to work out how to change that I think.

Changing the fuel filter is the first course of action.
It's situated behind the o/s rear wheel in a black plastic housing. It will be very tight but will come undone. Use a genuine replacement .

Fuel filter easiest first step.
Might be worth doing an injector leak back test and possibly the in-tank fuel pump or rail pressure sensor may be the cause?
2005 D5 may be the Eu4 or the Eu3 engine. I understand the the Eu4 in-tank pump should run all the time to feed the high pressure pump, the Eu3 runs only on start-up or at low tank levels to transfer from one side of the saddle tank to the other.

Hi is it a Delphi DS150E, if so you can set it up and switch it to flight recorder mode, and it will wright to its sd card, so you can record , MAP, MAF, RPM, FUEL PRESSURE AND SO ON AT THE SAME TIME,
