Default ABS reluctor ring cracked

Hi

Can anyone give me a walk through of what is involved in the replacement of the ring.

In particular can you achieve this with the shaft in situe (obviously shaft end removed from the hub)

Any help would be appreciated

I heated up the ring in the kitchen oven as high as it would go, having wrapped it in foil with a loose bit at the top that I could hold easily. In this weather, it was a total waste of time; it was cold 6 seconds after it got near the CV joint, and I probably wouldn't bother heating it next time unless I had the car in the warm.

It's lasted a year at least and still going......
