V70 - 2000 Front end onto 2004
I have a very inexpensive, very good condition, 2004 V70 available that had a front end ding, damaging the hood, driver side headlight, bumper cover, headlight, radiator & inter-cooler. Wing is good and not damaged and only real damage is the radiator upper cross-member.
I have a 2000 V70 that went tits up on me a few weeks ago and with all sorts of electrical problems I dont want to pursue. I see that the 99 & 00 body V70 parts are not interchangeable with the 2004 V70 (although the sS0 & C70 are) but I was thinking before I scrap the 00 V70, swapping the whole front end, hood, wings, headlights, radiator/intercooler, crossmemebr. bumper cover etc. Obviously this will need a bit of jigging to get right.... I'm looking for anyone on the forum to tell me 'this won't work because....'.... diifferent mounts, alignment, chassis mounts etc.... Thoughts anyone?...... |

If both vehicles are pre-facelift P2's the parts should be interchangeable. If the 2004 is early facelift then the headlamp wiring is different & it will probably have washers on the headlamp rather than wipers, so the bumper will be different.

Is the 2000 car a P1 or P2 model? That was the changeover year I think.
If P2, is should be a more-or-less bolt on swap. |
