Default Bosch Diz and Rotor

Chaps

Just warming up for the usual maintainance over Christmas and looking for the above for my 1998 V70R.

Insisting on Bosch but having a little trouble sourcing both from the same seller. Not interested in buying anything off eBay, Volvo prices are absurd and looking for change out of fifty quid delivered.

Can anybody assist in reccomending a decent supplier please ?

i wouldnt like to see the cost of a new Genuine Bosch dizzy. Scandalous springs to mind. ive used a PFV dizzy on my mapped S70 T5 for over 3 years without any incident or misfire. running higher than stock boost levels too (17psi peak)

just make sure its the onev with the spring loaded centre pin.

Assuming you mean distributor cap rather than distributor itself, I think Mister Auto should be able to sort you out.

http://www.mister-auto.co.uk/en/

The site can be an arse to navigate but the service is pretty good.

Had a "Bosch" dizzy cap from Euro's that was egg shaped, didn't seat properly against the distributor body and even had Bosch written in the wrong font.

Doesn't help you source your parts, but maybe tells you where to avoid lol

Thanks chaps for responses all gratefully received.

Have to say I am tempted by one of Jamie's Offerings ( have found him a super bloke to deal with ) - have had one of his on the T5 for a couple of years as part of the intermittent non starting issue and has not missed a beat since.

However the R having spent nearly 6 months sitting at Lakes Autos playing the waiting game deserves a treat and Bosch it is. Thanks Richard, rotor and cap 45 quid delivered from mister auto. When you said their site was an arse to navigate you were not kidding - 15 mins to locate a pollen filter !

Oh and I forgot to mention Volvo want 39 quid plus VAT just for the cap and I would have to drive 12 miles to collect it !
