Where can i source cheaper front new brake pads and discs for xc90.
Do I have to go genuine ones or aftermarket ones - equal quality to genuine ones are fine pls.

Thank you

you're in the wrong forum - but Pagid from Euro Car Parts or Jurid from GSF (both using one of their readily available weekend discount codes) are good quality - I'd probably go for the Jurid.

Thanks. Xc90 share the same pads and disc with S80.
Just wondering if who is making the discs and pads for Volvo. I gues it will be much cheaper if we buy from them.

I had issues before from pagid brake pads. Thanks for the advice.

Hi. I’ve used APEC discs and pads on my V70, great quality and money back warranty.

I have Mintex all round and after 50k all is good. I bought them for half price of Volvo parts. Whoever made the originals, hats off, they were very good. Fronts lasted 130k.

Thanks Brwndan. I got an advisory in the mot for the front brake. The rester told that it was rusted inside rhe hollow chamber.

I dos some reaearch regarding who makes the brakes for volvo. I found that ATE used to make it before bur they stopped it. These days rhw pads are made in India and the discs are from china.

I have read your posts aswell regarding Mintex before.
Did you sourced it from ebay?
Thank you.

Got them from https://www.micksgarage.com/home

Rust was what decided me to replace the rears. The inside in particular was very bad and the handbrake was marginal on a good day.
