Default XC90 Crash

Crossing over the A19 river Tees flyover today around 2pm there was a large traffic hold up, at the very front of this there was a poor new XC90 and a Mercedes, the XC90 was in a bit of a state, off side front damage and wheel was well and truly mangled and it was not going to be driven anywhere soon.
Hope it was not anyones on this forum. It was unusual to see one involved in an accident. First one for me.

It was certainly broken. The front off side wheel was smashed to bits, I wonder if it had hit an object in the road dropped from another vehicle but there was a Mercedes stopped behind the Volvo as well, I did not see any damage to the Merc but it might have had some on the near side.
