Default Check Engine/Service Urgent/P0121 - solved

Had an ongoing problem with hesitation at speed followed by rough idle and limp home mode with check engine light and engine system service urgent message.

Still trying to get VIDA set up so used a generic code reader, received code P0121 Throttle Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Range/Performance Problem.

Garage advised likely to be ETM, so removed and repaired via BBA Reman.

Problem was still there so I decided to take the code literally and replaced the accelerator pedal unit with a used one from ebay.

Amazingly this seems to have solved the issue, although the unit is a pain to remove and fit what with having to deal with loosening and tightening nuts in a very tight space.

Looking in forums I cannot see anyone else who has had this problem and it *wasn't* the ETM. Putting this post up in case anyone else searches in the future :-)
