Default Fitting a towbar

ive bought a used towbar from ebay. The chap im buying it from had it fitted to a 2014 v60 d4 business edition. My car is a 2014 v60 d4 r design.

Does anyone know if the electrics will need coding by volvo, or will i be lucky enough for it just being a case of plugging everything in and everything working as it should?.

You will need to get the download done from a Volvo dealer or specialist. The wiring module also needs to be divorced from the car properly or it will be useless to you.

Hope this helps.

Hi Mike, when you say divored from the car properly can you elaborate please. I'm assuming it's a VIDA job not just unplug it. Regards Paul.
