Default Shock absorber or full strut: 1984 240GLT

Am looking for the NSF shock absorber - that's the body that contains the insert that we normally think of as the shock absorber.

If it's more practical, the whole strut.

My 35-year-old shock absorber has rusted through at the top, failed the MoT and can't get back on the road without a replacement.

New parts are not available any more, apparently.

David - give Barry, Bernard or Ethan a ring at Lakes in Huntingdon - they have a few 240s in at the moment. 01480 212291

Good luck, Nick

If I remember right the GLT strut is different due to the gas pressure dampers ?
there are also 2 different types , depending on chassis number , I would think they would be available somewhere as the 240 is still pretty plentiful around the world , there was the R/H side listed in volvo classic parts a few years ago . Has your dealer looked up the correct one and seen if it is available ?

Dai, at Classic Swede.

I've tried contacting you with a private message and through your website, but no reply.

Does that mean you can't help?

Thanks.

David.

No luck at Anglesey or Huntingdon, but eventually located in Devon.

So, problem now resolved.

Thanks for all the input.
