hello new to this place

hello my mum says i only phone when i want something which is true.
which could be why i have come to this place i have a volvo s40 20l 95 thingy which i have vowed not to spend a lot of money on. it has taken a beating so far and is up to the fight but now 2 years on with only buying two new tyres two headlight bulbs i have two problems that have come at the same time.

1st problem headlights wont work but the bulbs are new, have mainbeam but nothing else ?

2nd bonnet will not lock highly thrustating, have lubed it up, cant seem to source a new lock.

please please help

Hello and welcome to the forums.
Have you checked the fuses?

have checked the fuses under the bonnet they all look fine

Are the tail lamps working?

hello again

the tail lights still work i have been slamming the bonnet trying to get this shut,thats why i bought the new bulbs i have heard about relays but wouldnt know were to look
