Default Re surge

If the accellerator pedal is being held in a constant position and the car surges forward without altering the pedal's position it usually means that air is getting into the fuel system. Have you recently worked on it? Check the tightness of the fuel unions and the fuel filter. You could try draining the filter and then repriming it, I don't know if it has a priming button tho. The fuel system usually works on a vacuum so it very easily draws air in. Hope this helps Bob
