I still haven't got around to doing this, planning to have a go today so I'll try removing that screw and see what's behind the carpet, thanx.
I don't need the hands free kit, so I was thinking I'd just bung it on eBay and see what I can get for it. Why, are you interested? |

Yes, I'm possibly interested...depending on how much you want for it? Although, you may get more for it on EBay There's a hands free kit in my car, it was there when I bought the car, but I don't know what type of phone it's for as the cradle is missing. I do know that it was installed by the Carphone Warehouse as it's stamped on the side window antenna.

Well I got the thing out and it didn't take too long, thanx for the tip about removing the kick panel, the black box was right there behind it. I still had to remove the stereo anyway but it would have been very difficult without the panel removed as well.
The only thing I left in there was the mic, and a black plastic strip thing stuck to the lower left hand corner of the screen, not sure what that is (?) but it's part of the phone. If I sell the set I'll get those out too, but for now I couldn't see how to remove the neccessary trim. The phone cradle is a type MCC-1, and the black box an HFU-2, I have no idea what it's worth and I'm open to offers, but I'll have to check what they go for on eBay too. EDIT: Just realised the black strip thing is of course an aerial, you can tell I know nothing about mobiles! Last edited by GrahamK; Jan 2nd, 2008 at 13:08. |
