I have this exact symptom and am wondering if you ever found out the exact cause and if you were able to resolve it?

I have a 2010 D5 with a noisy diff , I have bought a replacement diff complete with haldex unit still attached , i know I need to get a new filter and change the fluid in the Diff and haldex unit .

Can anyone tell me which seals I need to replace ? I live in Australia and my local Volvo dealer is next to useless , the parts cost 3 x what they do in the UK and often take over a week to get shipped to the dealer . I often end up buying small items from the UK they are still half the price and often arrive quicker..
