Has anyone used their belt tensioner before?

My Dad has used PPS a couple of times and they have been very bad quality. A fuel pump burning out after a few thousand miles.

I bought a cambelt tensioner from partsmonster off eBay and it said in the picture "brand new volvo item". I should have read further down as it said aftermarket.

It showed up and is a professional parts Sweden product and a quick Google I have found others think they are shocking quality parts.

Has anyone used the tensioner before and it has been okay or am I better off just asking for a refund?

No, nor would I on something as important as a timing belt tensioner.

Belt tensioners I use febi or INA as supplied by Volvo. I would rather keep the original then fit a dubious one.

A few items from PPS are OK.

Thanks guys, I have asked for a refund from partsmonster.

I will probably end up using the original one as I hope to get it done Sunday.

Is that the correct one from Febi?
