Default Breaking 1993 240 Estate

Breaking this 240 Estate

All parts available except Rear Axle, gearbox and prop.

This car is stored at my parents place at the moment, so it can take a day or 2 for me to reply to requests until i stop by there and look at things.

From what i remember its had a set of brand new rear springs fitted, The engine was very nice and started on the button. The clutch release bearing is knackered hence the reason for breaking, along with the laquer coat on the paint failing badly.

Let me know what you need.

Regards

Chesh

What colour are the seats and headrests? Looking for the rear seat headrests in black leather.

Thanks James

Hi Bob

Wouldnt really want to get into the hassle of packaging the tailgate up so that it could be safely couriered without breaking the glass.

I'd let it go for £10 collected if you thought the factoring of driving down to collect was worth it.

Tis annoying the BKV has changed venue as if you were going to that the car was about 10miles from Old Warden.

Sorry the seats are blue cloth if i recall correctly.

Strangely enough the 240 i broke before this one had black leather seats and the headrests were also missing as well. Maybe they go missing a lot??

Has it got heated mirrors, being a late 'un? My passenger side has stopped working, and on the driver's side the glass is coming unstuck from its backing plate.

Hi Chesh How sad to see such a late model looking so sad. That laquer coat is totally shot and it's generally knocked about to?
Best of luck with parting out all the bits.
How many extra's has it got.
Antilock brakes?
Wierd interior lights?
Extra speakers in the rear doors?
I bet the relays are different to the norm or in different locations.
The paint and overall finish just didn't seem as robust on the K and L reg models. The only good condition ones are the really well looked after ones. What I mean is if they were a bit neglected then they detiariate beyond the norm very badly. The K reg I have is quite bad.Thin paint, all the door handles seem stiff and the paint in the engine bay is horrible. After cleaning it just looks dull and thin. And yet my old F reg is still better in most respects despite being rusted out.The door handles work fine as well.

I love a ramble oohps.
Regards Brian.

I think it must be very common on the estate. I had a 740 and a 240 estate and both had/have them missing. It must be people remove them to put the seats down and then loose them. I got lucky with the 740 as a 740 had just come in on a loader and I looked and it was the same red interior as mine I was able to buy the headrests and various red trim pieces for £10
Oh well on with the search James.
