Default 940 SE Turbo Estate

For sale is our 1994 940 automatic estate. Owned by us for the past 18 years and has now covered just over 100,000 miles. Until very recently it was used daily but has now been replaced by a much newer XC70 so reluctantly it has to go.

It has all the usual SE equipment (e.g. electric windows, electric/heated mirrors, heated seats, etc.) plus air conditioning, a dog guard and a load cover. Everything works as it should including the aircon. Lots of service documentation and previous MoTs.

I also have a second complete set of matching alloy wheels fitted with winter tyres (5 wheels but only 4 with winter tyres). These can either be sold together with the car or separately.

I'm looking for around £950 which given the mileage and condition seems fair. The spare set of wheels with good winter tyres can be had for £200.

I'll post some pictures when I find out why it won't let me. In the meantime, I can email some to anyone who's interested.

Interesting to see it's an M reg SE with a boost gauge.

We've got 2 SE's one non-turbo and an LPT and the LPT doesn't have a boost gauge in the display.

That's Volvo's for you I guess.

My M reg one did. Around this time Volvo were making the final changes to the car, N reg ones on had no boost gauge and different wiring and ECU amongst other things.

It looks a very nice car, even the seat pockets aren't all baggy ! Good luck with the sale.

As far as I'm aware, the boost gauge is fitted to HPT models. LPT models have no boost gauge, and no 'turbo' badge on the tailgate...

Hi, my 940GLE is N-reg LPT, and has the boost gauge and turbo badge.
Could be with it being a gle, which seem thin on the ground.

Having said that, I was lead to believe that mine was an LPT when I bought it - turns out it was an HPT. The proof is in the engine code - B230FT is HPT, and I think FK is LPT...

Having said that I'm usually wrong about everything, just ask Mrs. Volvanman!
