They mean it's covered in loads of small dents, sometimes they can be removed by carefully using a heat gun to reshape the metal, if not, budget for a new boot lid, bonnet and having to have the roof repaired

Sometimes in the USA they get hailstorms so bad that a car can look like it's been used for target practice on a golf driving range!

So how much would you spend dealing with the dents? I'd rather buy a car needing a few simple mechanical jobs than bodywork.

Jon.

N.B I remember a relative took a holiday in Spain (Galicia) and his new car (collected the week before) car came back looking like someone had turned it into an art installation with a ball pein hammer.

That was hail.

OMG that was cheap!!!

Personally I do not think the 740 would be damaged to an extent of needing repair by a hail shower.

This was probably damage from a couple of years ago. My folks live in Leicestershire and my dad had his Jag and a van written off by the insurance because of a hail stone shower.

Edit; ha, just read the add. Folks also live in LE10 post code area.
