Default Anyone fitted Philips extreme dipped bulbs?

Has anyone fitted the Halogen H7 Philips Extrene vision low beam bulbs to their XC70?

I find the dipped beams in my 2002 XC70 frankly awful, need more light! :-)

Thanks

Mind posting a pic of the 2992 Volvo? Sounds interesting

I only have the regular Philips H7 but they are good enough after 2 years. Older bulbs dim with time, so regular H7 will make a difference.

Have you checked the lenses and reflectors in your headlamps?

The new nightbreaker unlimited are good as is phillips extreme, used both on my car and the nightbreaker by osram are slightly brighter but I find the phillips bulbs last longer.

Tried Osram Nightbreakers and they're brilliant but don't last. Went onto Phillips Extreme and they're brilliant AND they last.

The best results are to increase the level of the beam in combination with these bulbs. Each Volvo I've had has had the beam set too low and each I have increased and each has passed the MOT like it. Just a couple of turns of the screws.

I used to think that, then I had my headlights properly aligned. They were in spec for mot passes but weren't right.
Quite a difference for the £15 cost and about the same price as new decent bulbs.

I tried Osram night breakers unlimited in my V70 which were brighter however as already indicated they don't last long due to day running, I got 6mths...ended up putting standard bulbs back in.

Osram nightbreakers everytime.

Superb brightness - last 6 months to a year - but absolutely amazing beam strength.

Order 2 sets - replace a set as the bulb blows.

For the sake of three pints every six months I'd rather have great lights
